Welcome to ownstreet ("we", "us", "our"). We operate ownstreet.in and are committed to protecting the personal information of our users ("you"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

By using ownstreet, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2.1 Account data

When you sign up, we collect your email address, name, and username. If you connect social accounts, we may receive basic profile information from those providers.

2.2 Profile & content data

Links, product listings, images, bio text, and any other content you upload to your ownstreet page.

2.3 Payment data

We process payments through Razorpay. We do not store your card numbers or UPI credentials. Razorpay's privacy policy governs payment data handling.

2.4 Usage data

Page views, click events, device type, browser, and approximate location (country/city level) for analytics purposes.

2.5 Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the ownstreet service
  • To process payments and send transaction receipts
  • To send product updates, security notices, and support messages
  • To analyse usage patterns and improve the platform
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
  • To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not serve third-party ads.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Razorpay — payment processing
  • Supabase — database hosting
  • Vercel — infrastructure and hosting
  • Law enforcement — when required by Indian law

All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for 7 years under Indian tax law).

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
